Designed to remove financial barriers and elevate the women’s game, the program offers professional coaching, structured development, and a clear progression into higher levels of football, while supporting each player’s growth both on and off the pitch.
The Weekly South Sudanese Football Program provides a welcoming and inclusive space for young people from the Western Sydney African community to come together through football, building connection, confidence, and a sense of belonging. Founded by Nexus Soccer Solutions and driven by a passion to make the game more accessible, the program delivers regular sessions that focus on participation, community engagement, and creating opportunities for grassroots players to develop both on and off the field.
The Weekly Indigenous Program brings First Nations youth together every week at Wanderers Football Park to engage with football, culture, and community. Over 40 weeks, participants develop their skills, enhance their physical and mental wellbeing, and build strong connections both on and off the pitch. By celebrating the rich Indigenous heritage of Western Sydney and creating a clear pathway into football, the program aims to increase representation in the sport and provide meaningful opportunities for young Indigenous athletes to thrive.
The African Cup brings African-Australian youth together to showcase their football talent while celebrating community and culture. In partnership with the Wanderers, the tournament is hosted at the world-class Wanderers Football Park, providing opportunities for players to develop their skills and for African Cup NSW coaches to mentor the next generation. The event not only highlights sporting excellence but also strengthens connections across the African-Australian community in Western Sydney.
The Cobham Youth Justice Centre Football Program delivers regular football clinics for young people in detention, providing a safe and structured environment to learn new skills, stay active, and build confidence. Through these sessions, participants engage with the game while developing teamwork, discipline, and personal growth, giving them positive opportunities on and off the pitch.
The Wanderers Powerchair Team offers an exciting and inclusive version of football where players use electric wheelchairs to compete in teams of four, using foot guards to move a larger ball and score goals. As one of the first A-League clubs to support a Powerchair football team, the Red & Black provide opportunities for people with limited mobility to experience the game, develop skills, and be part of a competitive, supportive, and community-focused sporting environment.
The All Abilities Hub is a welcoming and inclusive space at CommBank Stadium where people of all abilities can enjoy football in comfort and safety. Designed for fans with sensory sensitivities, physical or psychosocial disabilities, intellectual or hidden disabilities, the Hub features a private suite with comfortable seating, a private balcony, and a dedicated quiet room. Families can enjoy the match day experience in an environment tailored to their needs, with mobility-friendly areas, sensory and child-friendly items, and a visual story provided ahead of the game, ensuring everyone can soak up the atmosphere alongside like-minded supporters.
